Some third-person pretentious babble will show up here someday, but for now, le'see... nearly thirty years on electric bass (only becoming halfway decent at in the last 7)... in my third year with the mandolin, and it's become a deeply disturbing obsession... a sickness, really...

I've played with various Hampton Roads notables over the years, Including Wade Mathias of the X-Raves and the inimitatable Chocolate Thunder himself, Mike Williams in Wire Mother Monkey... Jimmy Wiliams and Glenn "Chickenhead" Foster of The Rhythm Pigs in more than a few different travesties over the last 25+ years... and a brother I miss dearly, Steve "the Jasper" O'Laughlin, drummer extraordinaire for Channel One and the Blues Defenders...

and of course, these guys right here... without a doubt, the dearest friends I have ever had, and being able to make this wonderful thing we do together is the reason my life is a beautiful thing... when the wheels come off of this, I will be a solo artist, sans-audience alone in my living room 'til they carry me out with the toe-tag,... no other experience could, or has compared... and I love those other cats from my past, too, but... these guys...

As well as electric bass and mandolin, I sing back-up and croak-out the occasional lead vocal. I also serve as the tyrannical-yet-fair bandleader (which just means the rest of the band voted me to do all the work), as well as web designer, treasurer, secretary and yearbook photographer.

By day, I'm a mild-mannered, reluctant freelance graphic designer, a libra, I like long walks on the beach at sunset, and my favorite Monkee is Mickey.
