"If music is
pleasing to
my ear, why
does it need
a category?"

— Duke Ellington

"What We Like, How We Like?!?"
...what the hell does that mean?!?

"What We Like"...
First and foremost, this is a band of brothers that live for listening to music. as much as for playing it. Our common bond has always been our love of all genres and forms of music, and the most basic and pure expression of music, the song. Our songlist is a collection of tunes that we love, that you may, or may not have heard from a cover band before... not the usual live music fare, but not too "out there", either.

"How We Like"...
Don't be afraid... you'll still recognize and enjoy the stuff we play... our approach to the songs in our repertoire is to let them "fall out of us". Rather than play a note-for-note recitation, we start with the basic structure, and let our individual parts flow from what the others are doing, often not even listening to the original artist's recordings before diving-in.... hell, we play Jethro Tull's Locomotive Breath with a mandolin! Like I said, not your usual fare...

When we play, we do it as a unit, no egos standing out more than the other. (well, we give the bass player some... you know what whiney bitches they can be) To quote the late, great Townes Van Zant's debut album title, we play "For the sake of the song".
